Send Free SMS To Anyone Using Gmail

Google has recently introduced it's new feature, GMail SMS Messaging which is available in so many countries including some asian countries. Using this feature, you can send smss to anyone in any country free of cost.
So if you have zero balance in your mobile and still you want to reply your friends who are messaging you, you have the right option of gmail's sms feature.


Steps To Send SMS Using Gmail:
1. Login to your gmail account and add a new contact of the person you want to send sms to. If you have already that person in the contact list, you can skip this step.

2. Now after adding the new contact, you can see the new contact in your contact list. Now you will have to add the mobile number of that person in his/her contact details. To add the mobile number, click on the Name to edit the details.

3. After clicking the name, a form will appear as shown in the image, you will have to fill the mobile number there and save that.

4. Now, once again go to your contact list and as you hover your mouse pointer on the name of the person, you will see a window as shown in the image. Just clikc on MORE and then click SEND SMS.

5. As you click on Send SMS, you will see the chat box in the right bottom corner of the screen. From there, you can type your sms and can send to your friend free of cost. So, enjoy this service.

Note: You will be given 50 free sms credits. Your one credit is deducted after sending each sms, but if you receive the reply from the person you are sending messages, you will get 5 more credits. So tell your friend to reply to your messages. Standard sms charges will be applied for the person who is replying to the messages.

Shutdown your PC remotely using Mobile

We’ll use XAMPP to set up the server. Believe me it is too easy....Download the available package of xampp (installer or zip archive).

Today you are goin to learn the trick to shutdown your system remotely by mobile or any other computer.

Things that you require is:

                                                                                                                                       

1.SERVER SETUP

Now,follow the instruction given on their site to install the server.Actually installation is just unzipping the archive to a directory.The installation will take just around 2 minute.

2.PHP code

After installing XAMPP, just open up XAMPP directory.Then you will locate htdocs folder.Open that and create a new directory/folder.You can name it anything you want.Suppose the name of the new folder is shutdown.

Open the newly created folder shutdown and create a new file with name index.php (.php extension is necessary).

Now open up index.php file and place the nice little code if you run windows.

How To Install Ubuntu On Virtual Box Windows

Installing ubuntu on windows virtual box is a very simple task.Some times it becomes necessary to install ubuntu on your Windows OS to do programming or some kind of stuff with linux distribution(say ubuntu).

WHAT IS VIRTUAL BOX AND WHY TO USE IT?

Virtual Box is a open source software which is used to run one OS on other.You can download Virtual Box fromhere.In this tutorial I will be explaining how to install ubuntu on windows.

STEPS TO INSTALL UBUNTU ON VIRTUAL BOX:

1.Insert the disc which is burned with Ubuntu ISO Image.

2.Then startup virtual box and click on New button.

3.Then a wizard will pop up,hit next.

4.Enter the name of OS as ubuntu.

5.Now allocate RAM for your virtual machine.This will be the speed of your virtual machine.The minimum RAM to allocate is 512 MB.Greater the better and faster but dont allocate more than half of your actual RAM.

6.Then keep checked create new hard disk and click on continue.

7.Here you are burning from disc so check VirtualBoxDisk Image and click on next.

8.Then check Dynamically allocated and hit next.

9.Then specify the location of your virtual disk.By default it will by Ubuntu.Then specify the size of the folder.The minumum requirement is 8GB.

10.Thats it ,now your virtual machine is set ready,hit on create.

11.Then click on start to start your ubuntu installation process on virtual box.

5. Choose General Options from the pop up menu.
6. Now You can select either one or both options

One is Password To Open it will ask for the password every time the document is opened.
So to view the document you have to enter the password first.

Second is Password To Modify it will ask for the password every time somebody tries to modify the document.
