Now has come the latest version of iBooks that is iBooks 2, this time targeting the field of education. Officially Apple Inc. announced iBooks 2 is in the Guggenheim Museum in the hope iBooks 2 can be a substitute for a boring textbook.
Apple did not just change the version of a textbook into an electronic book format. Apple overhauled every book to be sold on the iBooks 2 and add audio and visual. Apple also added a feature like notes, which can be used to record children’s essentials and answering quizzes that are available to test their understanding of the material offered.
Reporting from Techradar, on iBooks 2, Apple has also added an application that allows authors to make electronic books directly from the application. If during this time someone makes an electronic book by writing it in Word, then save as the PDF, then downloaded, this way will be facilitated. Only by opening the application iBooks Author, author of the book can start writing the script directly in the application, edit the layout and cover design.
Despite efforts to reform the textbooks have started to run, the chances of success of this plan is still not visible. The textbook that has been used in lessons purchased by the school and reused every year, but things like that can not be done on the electronic book.
