Bombay High Court Recruitment 2013 - 2014:

The Bombay High Court has notified of vacancies that have arisen in the capabilities of stenographer for both, lower and higher levels. This is a very good opportunity for candidates who aspire for a career in stenography and have the relevant expertise required for the posts. The eligible and interested candidates are encouraged to apply for the available vacancies by filling up the required details in the application form and submitting it in the prescribed format. The details of the available posts are given further in this article with all the relevant information required.

The notice for Bombay High Court recruitment 2013 is for a total of 4447 vacancies for stenographer, junior clerk and peon combined. The division of the number of vacancies for both the posts is as follows:

  1. Junior Clerks: 2888 vacancies
  2. Stenographer: 321 vacancies
  3. Peon: 1238 vacancies

The candidates should not ignore the fact that all these posts are different and therefore, separate applications need to be sent if applicant want to apply for more than one post.

The minimum and maximum age limit that has been set by the government for the mentioned posts is 21 years and 33 years respectively for general candidates. The candidates who belong to SC/ST, OBC or Special Backward Class category have been granted a relaxation of 5 years for the maximum age limit for the posts.

As far the qualification applicant cleared VII standard can apply for peon position. 10+2 passed is the minimum qualification for Jr. Clerk and Steno jobs but preference will be given to those who are graduate or law graduation.
100 wpm  short hand speed and 40 for English typing and 30  Marathi Typing and 80 wpm Marathi shorthand.
Diploma of computer application also required.

The candidates, who fulfil the required eligibility criteria related to age, educational qualifications, work experience, etc., will be short-listed in the initial phase for further process. The short-listed candidates will be called for a typing and short-hand test so that their typing abilities may be assessed. The candidates need to display a minimum speed of 100 wpm and 40 wpm for English shorthand and typing respectively for the higher grade vacancies. Also, the candidates will have to display a minimum speed of 80 wpm and 40 wpm for English shorthand and typing respectively for the lower grade vacancies. Then, the candidates will have to go through an oral test taken by the concerned authorities.

An application fee of Rs. 100 needs to be paid through postal order.
